L'album solo le plus connu de Paul Simon, enregistré en partie à Johannesburg.

La production présente une bonne partie des clichés des années 80 : reverb gatée énorme sur la snare et les toms, basse sèche bourrée de midrange, gros synthés qui tâchent, samples coupés à la hache. Génial.

Graceland et You Can Call Me Al sont des gros tubes.

Y a fallu que je l'entende ailleurs pour faire le rapprochement avec Vampire Weekend, cet album les a clairement influencés.
